Hi.

Welcome! I document my adventures in reading, writing, and drinking (mostly coffee).

Book Review : Tom Lake by Ann Patchett

Book Review : Tom Lake by Ann Patchett

This one is a comfy cozy read about family, love, and growing up. 💙

Synopsis: In the spring of 2020 while the world is in lockdown from COVID, Lara’s three daughters return to the family's orchard in Northern Michigan. The daughters beg their mother to tell them the story of Peter Duke, a famous actor with whom she shared both a stage and a romance years before at a theater company called Tom Lake. As Lara recalls the past, her daughters examine their own lives and relationships.

The audiobook is read by Meryl Streep. (Ann Patchett’s last novel, The Dutch House, was read by Tom Hanks, and I love how she connects her written words with famous actors who just fit the book’s vibe!)

This book is for all the Team Jacob, Team Peeta girlies, and you will know what I mean if you read it!
