What to Watch on Netflix January 2026

Here are some of my favorite light watches from January 2026 on Netflix! Enjoy!

  1. Finding Her Edge follows 17-year-old Adriana Russo, a former competitive figure skater from a renowned skating family whose career stalled after her mother’s death. When her family’s beloved ice rink — the heart of their Olympic legacy — heads toward financial ruin, Adriana decides to return to the sport to save it.

Matching Book Recommendation: The Favorites by Lane Fargo

  2. Bridgerton (Season 4, Part 1) is a Netflix romantic period drama set in an alternate Regency-era London, where high society’s debutantes and nobles navigate balls, gossip, and the competitive marriage market. The series centers on the wealthy and close-knit Bridgerton family and their search for love and status, blending sweeping romance and scandal, all narrated by the mysterious gossip writer Lady Whistledown! Season 4 focuses on Brother Benedict.

Matching Book Recommendation: The Bridgerton series books! An Offer From a Gentleman, Book 3 in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series is the inspiration for Season 4.

  3. People We Meet on Vacation is an adaptation of Emily Henry’s hit book, exploring unlikely friends questioning their relationship. The movie follows Poppy and Alex, two opposite-personality best friends who take one vacation together every summer for a decade. After a falling-out stops their tradition, Poppy sets out to fix their friendship — and finally confront the feelings they’ve both been avoiding. It’s a warm, slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance about timing, growth, and realizing home might be a person, not a place.

Watch if you like: Love, Rosie or When Harry Met Sally

Matching Book Recommendation: (obv) People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry or The Pairing by Casey McQuiston
