She Started It by Sian Gilbert (☆ ☆☆ )

A childhood classmate, Poppy, invites four old “friends” to an idyllic island locale for her bachelorette party. They haven’t seen her for 10 years, and have no idea what she has been up to in that time other than the occasional curated Instagram post. In childhood, the four women treated Poppy horribly, tormenting and bullying her, making her life hell. But, hey, who turns down an all-expenses-paid trip to a tropical island? Certainly not these four! Told in alternating chapters from the POV of each woman, we soon learn these women are still mean girls and horrible people and the story escalates.

It reminded me of the old Agatha Christe novel, And Then There Were None, in almost a loose retelling with Pretty Little Liars Vibes.

Genre: Thriller, Fiction, Mystery, Content Warnings for Violence

Read if you like: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda, Big Little Lies by Laine Moriarity or like to watch Pretty Little Liars or Gossip Girl
