Book Review : Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
Sunrise on the Reaping is OUT! I loved it so much, and I truly didn’t think I was going to even like it! I had not felt any connection to Haymitch’s character prior to Sunrise on the Reaping.
Sunrise on the Reaping is Suzanne Collins' latest addition to "The Hunger Games" universe, focusing on Haymitch Abernathy's experiences during the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the second Quarter Quell. Set 24 years before the original trilogy, the novel delves into Haymitch's transformation from a District 12 tribute to a legendary victor, providing readers with a deeper understanding of his character and the origins of Panem's rebellion.
The release of Suzanne’s books are perfection to me and I would suggest readers new to the Hunger Games world read them in publication order. You can’t convince me otherwise!
Knew what was going to happen in the storyline, and it gutted me anyway! Five stars for the nostalgia alone.
